hey guys ... i'm in a dilemma.
it's like this. all this while i've been using my laptop when i correct and edit my images. i have also been using my laptop to design all the blog layouts i've been at for the past couple of weeks. everything looks ok on my laptop. the images are bright enough, the layouts are in the browns and greens i want.
but last night i had a shock. i didn't want to connect my laptop so i went to the desktop which was already on to check on my blog. and OMG! i had the greatest shock!!! it was soooooo green and sooo saturated... and all my images were soooooo bright! everything looked at least 50% more saturated than what i see on my laptop!!!
in the spur of the moment i re-colored my blog banners and layouts. i unsaturated them at -60, which is a lot! this was the fastest way i could get a lighter look. but it was still not anywhere near to the color i see on my laptop! i didn't want to re-make all the layouts again with different colors! there are about 500 pictures in my blog. i just can't unsaturate them ALL!! so i'm leaving those.
then it made me think... was i too rash? so i need some help from you, my bloggie frens. please tell me in the comment box if my blog looks too greenie or brownie ... or the colors look just fine to you. also if my images are over saturated. i'll just dig a hole and bury myself if all this time i've been editing my colors according to the wrong standard! and i'm actually killing everyone's eyes!!! ARGHHHHH!!!! HELP!!! i need your response on this cos i can't trust either my laptop or my desktop now!!
not happy at all ... :(

honestly, none of those thoughts ever came to mind when i have visited your blog... nothing has put me into sensory overdrive! i guess because we have been seeing it all along, it doesn't offend at all... creating a blog is an artistic venture in and of its own... you are putting lots of time and effort into this and, so, you want it to be just right... you are doing a great job...
ReplyDeleteSeriously, as far as I can see, you're blog's just fine! You can't control all monitors, and to me it seems your colors and saturation is on the spot :)
ReplyDeleteNow breath deep.... exhale... inhale... relax... :)
I've always thought your blog looked fabulous! I've noticed that my laptop doesn't show the colors as saturated as my desktop. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteLuthien, my friend, I think your blog is very readable, love your colors, have never been offended or felt that they were off in any way.
ReplyDeleteKeep doing what you are doing,
xoxo
It looks absolutely fine to me too! Lovely colours over here in the UK!!
ReplyDeleteA while back I had to start saturating everything on my blog. It was too faded out compared to some others - I like the richness of pushing the color saturation - yours looks just fine.
ReplyDeleteI think your Blog looks fine. Images don't look the same on all monitors and from what I see on mine, it looks fine!
ReplyDeleteLuLu~*xoxo
All's well on your colors here on the East Coast of the USA! I've never had a problem and think everything looks spectacular as always. xxoo
ReplyDeletelooks fine to me too..... never occured to me as an eye sore. Don't worry bout it :)
ReplyDeletehey ladies :))
ReplyDeletethank you soooooooo much for all your feedback!! i am soooooo glad that the colors look alright to you and it's not like murdering all your eyes! ok ... i'll just continue doing what i'm doing and relax :)) thank you once again !!! soooooo appreciate all of you :)) MUAX!!!
Hmm, I always visit your blog because I love it and was just here two days ago. I didn't notice any changes in the color or saturation now. I think it looks the same as before, and that it looks just fine. I actually love this design and even showed it to my husband who also admired this coffee cup stain design. The green looks perfect to me, too, not too bright or greenish or brown. Just perfect, in my opinion. Hope i helped, haha. Don't worry!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks beautiful to me as always :o) xo
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful! The colors are wonderful and I love the design.

I'm using a laptop so it looks fine to me. BTW - thanks for joining the Change The World Group at BC.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny I've always just assumed that you loved a mossy green look. The look now is more of a beige shade. They're both fabulous so it's really up to you and what you prefer. I can imagine how that would have happened on your laptop though as we tend to look down on the screen rather than straight forward which would wash the colors out some.
ReplyDeleteWhatever the case, no worries.♥
just wanted to thank you for all the info. just got some of the clay as looking for something to do as I have recently have had to leave work due to chronic cluster headaches. they are horrible things. needed something I could pack up in zip lock quickly til better ad do from bed. your blog has taught me the most, now, save money up for mor colors is going to be challenging.
